Universities support your studies and your life

Do you feel that your studies are not going that well, and your everyday life is also a bit of a mess? Would you like more support from your fellow students and from your university community?

Don’t worry. You are not alone! Many students get exhausted in the middle of distance learning, and everyday life is not going as smoothly as it used to. Luckily, help and support is available.

The aim of the Wellbeing Through Counselling (Ohjauksella hyvinvointia, OHJY) project is to innovate solutions to support your wellbeing, coping and learning abilities, and to help you find the support services you need at your own university.

Who are the activities aimed at?

Several universities and organisations, 11 in total, are involved in the project. More than 36,200 students are studying in these institutions of higher education. The aim is that in 2023, when the project ends, these are the most prosperous students in Finland.

What are we offering?

Each actor involved in the project is responsible for activities in their own educational institution, and support groups, for example, can be found in all of them. The universities organise activities also for students doing their degrees in English.

As a part of their normal activities, universities also offer the services of school welfare officers and psychologist as well as student counselling. In this project, we bring these services together.

How can you participate?

The best way we can help you is when you check out the activities aimed at you in your own institution and student body. You can also contact the contact person at your own institution:

Students’ wellbeing survey!

  • The responses were collected anonymously from March 27th to April 23rd, 2023.
  • We gathered data in relation to students’ wellbeing.
  • The results of the survey is used for the development of student well-being and different forms of support.
  • See results from the survey here!
